Starting the project was a great way for us all to escape the Covid 19 Pandemic and focus on nature and the beauty of wildlife in a superb location in the great outdoors.

Our children enjoyed weeding, identifying the variety of bugs and insects and nature  (The birds that regularly use the allotment). They benefitted from the fresh air and open space. They also learnt about how to grow your own ( grown ups still learning).

Since taking on the allotment, our family have enjoyed the community welcome from other plot holders. We are grateful to those who helped us by giving us plants to grow and generally giving the friendly advice we needed as novice gardeners. Recent contribution was a shed kindly given to us by a fellow plot holder. We still have gates to add and lot of work to complete.

What I personally enjoy is the location, the fellow Allotmenteers, the nature, the fact that we can grow our own and share ideas and it’s a project the whole family can enjoy together.
